As per our IIoT methodology there are five levels of IIoT maturity as depicted in the diagram below
At this level of maturity data is restricted to the site level and stored in either DCS or SCADA systems or remains at PLCs level.
At this level data from one or multiple plants is brought to a centralized server for basic monitoring. Data is stored in a centralised system called “Historian” at this level.
At this level real time data is analysed using various Artificial Intelligence techniques for detecting anomalies and catching a potential failure much before it occurs. Rule based diagnostics is performed to identify the root cause to take corrective actions.
“Thermodynamic modelling” and analysis is performed for assessing performance degradation at equipment level as well as plant level. Reliability and performance findings are combined in order to increase reliability of the plant.
At this level various optimization techniques are applied in maximizing power generated and minimizing fuel consumption, find best time for air filter replacement, compressor wash etc., and also optimize equipment, materials and man power.
